Thirsty for a drink?

I was at an indoor arena yesterday where children can run / jump /climp and they do this for an average of two hours ,all parents had drinks for their children where the youngsters would come back every so often , there was one parent / grandmother present who had three children ranging in ages from about 3 up to 9 years the older boy asked his mother / grandmother for a drink on several occasions and would she get it for him not on your life or give him some cash to go and get it for himself and his siblings , It was very warm and all the children were sweating , if it was the case that she did not allow fizzy drinks they were other drinks she could have got for them , but she would not move until eventually after hour and a half she sent the bigger boy down for two cups of water, I can still see that little boy asking for a drink , and all the children around the tables drinking it made me sad but you cannot say anything .
