Is it possible to come down from 265 pounds and have a good looking, y body?

I am a big girl. I am considering gastric byp surgery, but regardless... If I did ever somehow successfully lose this weight, is it possible that I will ever have an extremely y, toned firm body that you might see in some of the beautiful people on tv? Is there any amount of exercise that would actually do it, or has the damage been done already? Does anyone know anyone who has actually done it?
