Please help me with my iMac G3!!?

Hi, I just recieved a slot-loading imac G3 this afternoon, and tonight I opened the backdoor (where the memory is), and took out the stick of memory. I was holding the stick by it's side, and i was pretty sure I didn't touch any part of the actual parts (just the sides), but when i put the stick back in, and pressed the power on nothing is displayed, the power light is on, but the chime doesent sound anf the display doesn't show anything. Can someone please, please, please help me, I really want to use my iMac!!!!!!!!!
