Why do Divorced Couples think they actually Loved Each Other?

If you truly love another person, nothing will get in the way your desire. It's called having some strength and resilience, qualities that many people lack today. If the spark is gone there was no love to begin with, only infatuation. True love is not one-sided. True love is unconditional. You may bring up a point about battered spouses but if a person harms his or her spouse regularly, can love be present? If so, love has lost all of its meaning. Do not use the "people change over time argument". If your devotion is that fickle, it's not true love but a temporary preference. If a person comes into a relationship with the pretense of being a good person, neither side truly loves each other. One wishes to manipulate the other, and the innocent party is infatuated with an image, not truly in love with this person in reality.
