Where can I take a girl out on a first date?

I am 26 years old and she is 21. She is a senior in college,and I am finished with school. She is a Native New Yorker studying here in DC, and I am a born in DC and raised in Maryland kind of guy. I work in the building that she lives in. First of all let me ask, since she's leaving in May.. I think that it would be OK to ask her on a date because, if things go wrong, we won't have to look at each other too much longer!! but anyways all of her friends want to know when am i going to ask her out? She wants me to ask her out and I think she's got a little crush on me. What is a good place to take her here within the Tri-state area?... meaning MD, DC, VA...
