I have bad split ends, HELP!!!!?

Hi, I have sort of bad split ends and does anyone know any DIY remedies or products or tips that i can do/use? Also i got my hair trimmed like 2 weeks ago, but i guess that didn't help too much ha ha. Just to add I use to flat iron my hair (i used a heat protector) and i use to colour my hair (months ago), but i don't do any of that anymore. And i use split end fixing shampoo, and conditioner and i wash my hair every other day. Sorry for the huge paragraph i just would like to know how to fix my split ends!! Thanks!! (:
